Central Mini Golf Mural

This piece is about 8′x18′ painted along the legal wall in Central Square Cambridge. It was the first thing I made upon returning from Europe. It’s intended to be a celebration of the perfect summer weather. Made it in a day. Notice the nod to the Rt. 1 dinosaur. Video after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

IceCreamPeople.org

The intention of this project is to elevate the Ice Cream Person, a half-ice-cream, half-human hybrid, to the same legendary status as other cryptozoological icons, such as Bigfoot, or The Lochness Monster. By consolidating the evidence, stories, and artist-renditions into a cohesive database of frozen-facts, I am creating a foundation from which the existence of the Ice Cream People may be justified.
More evidence after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

Isle of Misfits Series

Isle of Misfits is where characters are subjected to ridicule, embarrassment, torture, and worship. These works are the testing ground for different methods in painting, as well as working out complex narrative relationships. I’d compare it to putting a bunch of drawings on a reality show to the death. The piece above is on a large canvas, and details traditional life on the coastal shore. More paintings after the jump. Oh Nancy Project

Oh Nancy is a narrative project derived from the twisted minds of Fionn McCabe, and Nate Wellman. I’d consider it part Alice in Wonderland, part Varsity Blues. Above is my depiction of The Corn Team’s athletic aptitude, and mighty sportsmanship.
These 20″x24″ acrylic canvass illustrate Nancy in an “aquatic pickle”, and diverting “aerial temptation”. Illustrating my contribution to to the Oh Nancy mural at the OtherSide Cafe on Newbury St. in Boston. Depictions of Nancy’s mother, and father.

Wu-Tang Clan

This was made just before the release of the 8 Diagrams album. The imagery, like the title, is derived from the 8 Diagram Pole Fighter Kung-Fu flick. They sold this gem along the Rock the Bells tour 2007. Flash forward a year later, I ended up backstage with Ghostface at Harvard University. It was an awkward experience, I didn’t really know what to say. So I just shut up. It was a privilege making graphics for Wu-Tang Clan, 36 Chambers has been on my top 10 albums since I started listening to music.

Mötley Crüe

I was asked to make some graphics for the CrüeFëst ‘08 tour. I gave them some remixed versions of their recent Saints of Los Angles album cover. And a trophy graphic to accompany their hit track “MotherF*cker of the Year”. I also made some graphics for Nikki Sixx’s solo project, but they didn’t go anywhere. I should have made some Kat Von D drawings and threw his logo on them. That would have grabbed his attention.

Jay-Z

I made this stuff for Jay-Z in preparation for his Heart of the City tour with Mary J Blige. The request was for more rock n’ roll type stuff, rather than Rocawear graphics. On the left is the bandana I made with “the roc hands”, the buildings on the right were printed inside the collar of the tour shirts. More images after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

Big D and the Kids Table

This shirt was for Big D and the Kids Table’s anthem, “Shining On” off their Strictly Rude album. There’s a lot of Allston references, so that’s what they got for a landscape. More images after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »
