Last year I was asked to do a little live painting at Warped Tour for Keep A Breast. Because their famous chest-casts were soggy, I ended up painting some small canvas of luchador chicks battling for breasts. A few days ago I returned to the KAB tent for a second session of painting. Still no boobs to paint on, and also no aerosol this year! I couldn’t use spray paint as part of their Eco-initiative to keep the tour GREEN, which was a curve-ball, but I think the final product worked out. Last year’s event was funny because the moment I put down the brush, the sky went black and began to pour blood and lightning and tornadoes. This year’s weather was equally as miserable, but less violent. While waiting for paint to dry, I had a chance to catch Against Me and Horrorpops last year, and Gallows and NOFX this year. The moment I discovered Covered Blog, I instantly wanted to “cover” something of Sam Keith’s. Dude’s work had a big impact on me. What could possibly more impressive to a teenager than a violently scribbled comic about an Amazon social worker and her purple-clad anti-hero with “middle finger claws”.

I am featured in the premier idN Extra: Cut&Paste book! This $25 publication is worth it’s weight in gold. United by the 2007 Cut&Paste competitions, this book is filled to the brim with process work from emerging artists and designers from all over the globe. They also gave me a little profile on IDN World as well.

I started making some work for Impose Magazine. The first post is about a show last week at Great Scott in Allston, MA. Animal Hospital, Manners, BattleHouse, and Quoins. The article is here.

Meighan O’Toole of my love for you is a stampede of horses has begun contributing to the Juxtapoz website, and fortunately for me, she laced her first post with my “wicked Boston aht”! The duo pictured above are from the Oh Nancy exhibition at Gallery Diet in Miami last month.
