RBSS – 3 Days in Miami

I made promotional materials and live recap drawings, under the creative direction of Sun & Sons, for Red Bull Sound Select’s 2016 Miami takeover. In advance of the event, I made portraits of each artist to be used as free promotional enamel pins, and artist inspired monopoly money for showering the crowd with wealth. Additionally, I was onsite to create live digital illustrations recapping the event in real-time. At the end of the night, we printed and distributed mini-posters featuring the art, as free souvenirs.

Lisa Ann for Complex

I was reminded during SXSW that I made a series of illustrations for Complex. Someone mentioned in passing that they saw my porn drawings on Complex. Which was confusing at first, but then I remembered how I had drawn a “Tips to avoid being hustled as a professional NBA player” narrated by famed sports commentator and former Sara Palin porn parody actress, Lisa Ann. Then everything made sense?

Dirty Decks at LIV Miami

I painted this mini ramp for the Dirty Decks party at LIV, Miami Beach. Phantoms appeared to skate, and German DJ Robin Schulz spun. It was a total rave. Thanks to Flip for pulling me in. Photos: World Red Eye

United States of Bass: Miami

Miami is rich in Booty Bass, and all the greats throughout Miami history assembled at Gramps for one night of sweaty, gnarly, booty shaking action. Thanks to Supermarket Creative for pulling my into this one. Photos: Ian Wilton

Invader Zim

I fanboyed super-hard at on this one. I’ve been a Jhonen Vasquez fan forever, and it was an awesome opportunity to contribute to the Invader Zim world. One of the sketches is a shout to the first Z? Comic I got into Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. Thanks to J.R. Goldberg and Oni Press for facilitating this thing!

Dirty Fences

It’s always a treat to cross paths with Dirty Fences while drawing on the road. It most recently happened in Chicago during Riot Fest. After they ripped through their set, but before catching Anthrax and Faith No More, we made a plan to doodle this poster for their fall/winter Europe tour. They shared a collection of photos of buds they wanted to make cameos, and it turned out pretty good!
